BEAUTIFUL SKIN ON A BUDGET

In the professional skincare industry, prices can vary wildly. A 2oz serum from one line can cost $30 while the same size in another line could cost $300. Typically, the product prices will align with the prices that a treatment provider charges. More expensive facials usually means that the business is using more expensive products (though not always!). While I pride myself in offering several different lines in my practice in order to meet any need or budget, there are certainly products that are more affordable than others. Of course, the products highlighted are just general skincare recommendations-you should talk to your pro about what works best for YOU. Let’s check it out!

Hale & Hush Quiet Wash cleanser ($19): This is my favorite cleanser ever. It’s great for all skin types, conditions, those with lash extensions or lifts, and gets off ALL OF YOUR MAKEUP! No other cleanser has ever removed my eye makeup as well as this cleanser, and it doesn’t irritate my eyes at all. The holy grail. One of those products that people post “IYKYK” about it because truly, if you know, you know.

Image Skincare Ormedic Balancing Lip Enhancement Complex ($26): Another holy grail, can’t live without product. No chapstick or lip balm compares. I use it on every single person who comes in for a facial and have never come across a person who didn’t love it. It’s probably my best selling product since day one!

Intelligent Elixirs Total Eye Repair ($29): An eye cream that visibly improves firmness, the appearance of wrinkles and dark circles, is sheer and lightweight AND is under $30? You simply can’t beat it. There are drugstore eye creams that cost more than this!

BONUS INTELLIGENT ELIXIRS PRODUCT! Botanical A Night Serum ($38): Acts in place of a retinol (without the sensitivity). Helps diminish fine lines by stimulating collagen production and cellular turnover and visibly brightens the complexion. The texture in my skin has improved with this product and I’ve had several clients tell me that they can’t believe the difference it’s made. Try it for yourself!

Skin Script Ageless Skin Moisturizer ($17): Skin Script is one of the most popular companies in the esthetics world for a reason. Not only do they offer a fairly wide variety of products for an affordable line, but they provide estheticians with great training to ensure that pros are able to give clients the best treatments possible. To be able to buy a professional moisturizer for under $20 is incredible. I’ve paid 4x that price for other moisturizers of the same size!

BONUS SKIN SCRIPT PRODUCT! Glycolic and Retinol Pads ($25): I’m popping in another Skin Script option because I wanted to include something for my waxing clients. Not only are these pads great for acne and hyperpigmentation on the face, they also help with ingrown hairs and hyperpigmentation in other areas of the body too! I highly recommend giving these a try if you’re a brazilian wax client who struggles with ingrowns and/or dark spots.

Circadia Light Day Sunscreen SPF37 ($50): I’ve gotta be honest. My favorite SPFs are expensive. Yes, Hale & Hush and Skin Script make an SPF that are about $30. And Intelligent Elixirs offers one (albeit tinted) for only $25! But personally, I love both Circadia’s SPF and Image Skincare’s SPF the most. They make my skin look luminous and don’t burn my eyes. This comes down to preference, but I know you won’t be disappointed with Circadia’s SPF. Won’t feel heavy or greasy on the skin, but will provide you with the protection and hydration you need every morning.

Glo Charcoal Detox Mask or Soothing Gel Mask ($50): Glo is a newer line to CDB, but I’ve really liked everything I’ve tried. They offer a variety of masks, depending on skin type or condition, but the two listed here are both $50. Soothing Gel Mask would work for anyone, but the Charcoal Detox Mask is probably the best for acneic skin. Masks are a great way to get/maintain results on your skincare journey.

Is this an exhaustive list of affordable products? No way! All of the lines have some surprisingly great prices. Can you also find some pretty expensive options? Yes, of course! And sometimes, they’re worth it. But you don’t need to break the bank to have a good routine.

love & lipstick (& loads of savings!)
